| | My husband and I already had a wonderful home, but we were interested in a more private setting. I called Tom at Coldwell Banker and started telling him what I was interested in and some general locations where my husband and I would like to live. That very same day he faxed me a listing. We met Tom a day or two later and decided this was exactly what we wanted and put our home up for sale. | We had a more unique situation with being guardians of a vulnerable adult niece who dreamed of owning a home of her own one day. With Tom's help and patience with her, and our concerns over what she could afford and take care of, Tom had his work cut out for him. He found her a home meeting all of our concerns and her needs. We closed on the house only to have the whole thing cancelled due to a new law that no one knew about until after the closing. Tom kept everyone calm and helped arrange for our niece to move into the house until we could get a court hearing and judges' order for the purchase of the house. This took some time but Tom continued to keep everyone involved and reassured that things would work out. During the process the furnace was also found to be in need of immediate repair and he took care of this immediately. While that was being done someone turned off the heat and froze the pipes in the house causing some damage. Tom again saw to it that this was immediately take care of and calmed the situation down, keeping everything running smoothly again. He had to deal with a vulnerable adult, guardians, SILS workers, attorneys, judges and financial institutions - also inspectors, another realtor, sellers, and the abstract company. He went above and beyond in helping this person to become a proud homeowner and realize a dream. Then he let us use his enclosed trailer to move her, also. Thank you, Tom, for all you did.
